WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10, 2010

All 8th grade students will take the EXPLORE TEST on Tuesday, March 16th, during 1st through 4th periods.  Students will report to their designated testing locations instead of 1st period.  Room assignments are posted in the Student Services Lobby beginning tomorrow.  Each 8th grader should bring #2 pencils and a calculator.  Please see Mrs. Galey with questions.
 
There will be no Club Bowling tomorrow due to the Basketball playoff game.

Attention Juniors: you have another week before The Class of 2011 Bash to be held at the Chicory House on St. Peters Street in the Warehouse District, March 19th from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m.  The cost is $35 per couple.  Sign up and pay in the Student Services Office. Dress is coat & tie, semi-formal.  All juniors who have already signed up and any junior who signs up today will have their name put in for a chance to win a $50.00 gift certificate to Zea’s.
 
The next Intramural activity will be Dodge Ball.  Be sure to sign up a 6 person team at the Bookstore by Friday, March 19th.

The Campus Ministry Office is now taking applications for next year’s Special Ministers of Holy Communion.  This ministry is open to current Juniors who are, or soon will be, confirmed Catholics.  Application sheets are available from your Religion teacher or from the Campus Ministry Office.
 
Attention 8th graders—the Student Ambassadors would like to invite you to a dance this Saturday, from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Mall.  The newest members of the Class of 2014, 2015 & 2016 are also invited.  We are encouraging you to come with your friends and invite the girls from the area Catholic schools.  Cost of the dance is $7.00, payable at the door and dress is casual.

Seniors—just a reminder to turn in your father/son form and fee for the Father/Son Day which is Sunday, March 21st.   Also, the end of this quarter is the deadline for the present price of $50 and $35 for Prom & Prom Fest.  The price after 3rd quarter will be Prom-$60. Prom Fest - $45.

Seniors who did not pick up their materials from Jostens last week can come to Student Services to pick them up.

Excalibur members going on the Field Trip on Tuesday are asked to please check the Mall Bulletin Board for important information.

All Student Ambassadors are reminded to be at school on Saturday no later than 7:15 a.m. wearing a coat & tie.
  
Congratulations to the Varsity Bowling team for a 16 to 11 victory over Rummel.  This was truly a team effort with all members contributing for the win.  High Bowlers were Robbie Mueller 201, Joe Lopiccola 202 & 215, Bruce Himbert 224, Thomas Hale-224, Aaron Schiler-225 and Michael Calcagno 254.  Next match is Thursday at 3:30 p.m. against Holy Cross at Colonial Lanes in Harahan.

Attention students who are scheduled to feed the hungry for Thursday—This service event has been rescheduled for Friday, March 12th.  Please bring food before school to Ms. Stewart’s Office.  A bus will leave from the Conlin Gym entrance after the second exam (11:45) to bring students to the Feed Jesus program at St. Joseph’s Church.
